This new Foundation Acupuncture course will provide the required knowledge and understanding of the physiological effects of acupuncture on pain management and the healing process. Western Acupuncture techniques such as myofascial trigger points, muscle energy techniques, and periosteal pecking will be combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine methods. On completion of the course participants will be able to practise acupuncture in a safe and appropriate manner, in a clinical setting.

The two practical weekends are supported by a curriculum incorporating home study modules.

Steve is an accredited AACP Tutor, he was awarded an MSc in Acupuncture from Coventry University. He has published several papers on the topic of acupuncture and has presented at the AACP Conference. His MSc dissertation focused on the effectiveness of acupuncture to improve sporting performance. He also has an MSc in Biomechanics and combines his teaching role with working clinically in private practice. He is a very experienced educator.
