ESP Musculoskeletal Injection Update Course

The content of this one day course has been put together through close collaboration with ESP practioneers. It is aimed at ESP Physiotherapists who regularly inject. There will be an emphasis on refining and developing practical injection skills. The course will be underpinned by clinical reasoning and will provide a forum for clinicians to discuss indications, rationale, evidence and challenges of injection therapy. While there will be an emphasis on Knee & Shoulder other areas will also be addressed.

By the end of the day the Clinician will be able to:

Refine their practical injection techniques on the Knee & Shoulder
Refresh detailed anatomy to include hazardous structures
Update their knowledge on dosage used and selection of drugs
Review of esoteric sites such as Carpal Tunnel, Dequervans, Pes Anserinus
Develop their clinical reasoning for Injection Therapy in MSk practice
Update on what’s new in Injection Therapy eg platelet rich plasma (PRP)
Reason through the Ultrasound question: to use or not
