In addition to the anxiety these conditions bring, the impact of Covid-19 increases anxiety, and long-term mask wearing challenges how we breathe. This course looks at assessing breath patterns, the benefits of optimal breathing and developing accessible breath practices to use with patients and ourselves.

The benefits of nose breathing, and working with patients for whom this isn’t accessible
The impact of mask wearing on breath patterns
Starting a regular practice

There is a large practical element of the course so that you can put what you learn into practice straight away:
Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in.
Please check that ideally you have space to place a yoga mat and can set up your laptop/table or phone so that you can see yourself whilst moving and practicing.
This Course is taught by Sarah Marsh BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, a highly experienced Yoga practitioner and Physiotherapist.
(Sarah is an MSK physiotherapist and a qualified yoga teacher. She started her yoga practice in 1999 and became a teacher in 2008 studying for 2 years with the Yogacampus in the UK and also in India and Australia. She is a Yoga Alliance 500 hours senior teacher. She has extensive experience in both teaching Yoga and training/mentoring yoga teachers. Her passion and interest is how physio and yoga can be integrated in a therapeutic perspective to help the management of a range of clinical conditions and to offer the best care to her patients. Sarah has taught widely in UK, Ireland, Turkey, Australia & New Zealand on this subject) . Sarah currently works in Oncology Rehab in Cromwell Hospital London and has a female and male pelvic health caseload in her Richmond ( London ) Private clinic. She has a long history of delivering health & Wellness training for some of London's biggest companies and continues to do this.
Sarah has also taught this live online course 2020 for the Irish Physio assoc, for us in the UK and also in Turkey. Gerard has run multiple live online physiotherapy courses.
